What a treasure chest of video footage I've collected regarding the parade ordinance.
From Elise Marciano consistent lies, to the selling out hypocrisy of Councilman Stanley and Riley, I'm in the process of producing a MOUNTAIN of video footage exposing what's at the heart of the ordinance...the dishonesty of the Boughton administration and the Republican controlled Common Council that he has wrapped around his finger.
We here at HatCityBLOG are far from done is exposing the lies surrounding this so-called ordinance and after rolling out the footage, some people have some explaining to do.
(On a personal note, I want to thank everyone who've emailed or called me today. The show of support today was overwhelming and I want to thank all of those who told me that they came out to the meeting as a result of reading this blog.
The most shocking was being approached by several Republicans who said that they read the site everyday and were impressed with the recent reporting of the ordinance as well as the Elmer's Diner disaster. It goes to show you that people can look beyond partisanship to see the light surrounding the Boughton "banana republic" administration.

06.03.22 (OP-ED): KUSHNER: "Career Academy ‘a great deal for Danbury"
On September 26, 2007, ten plaintiffs filed suit in response to an arrest of aday laborers at a public park in Danbury, Connecticut. Plaintiffs amended their complaint on November 26, 2007.
The amended complaint states that plaintiffs sought to remedy the continued discriminatory and unauthorized enforcement of federal immigration laws against the Latino residents of the City of Danbury by Danbury's mayor and its police department.
Plaintiffs allege that the arrests violated their Fourth Amendment rights and the Connecticut Constitution because defendants conducted the arrests without valid warrants, in the absence of exigent circumstances, and without probable cause to believe that plaintiffs were engaged in unlawful activity. In addition, plaintiffs allege that defendants improperly stopped, detained, investigated, searched and arrested plaintiffs. Plaintiffs also allege that defendants violated their Fourteenth Amendment rights when they intentionally targeted plaintiffs, and arrested and detained them on the basis of their race, ethnicity and perceived national origin. Plaintiffs raise First Amendment, Due Process and tort claims.
Plaintiffs request declaratory relief, damages and attorneys fees.
