The city's two KFC stores -- one at 91 North St. and the other at 1 Federal Road -- have been closed by Headlee Management Corp. of Dutchess County, N.Y.Come on man!The closings took place Monday, according to Bill Silvia, general manager of the chicken restaurant on North Street.
"To the best of my knowledge, nobody saw it coming," Silvia, 23, of Danbury, said Tuesday. "I got a phone call and I was asked to come to the store, and that's when I found out."
Silvia said about 20 workers at the North Street restaurant, mostly part-time employees, lost their jobs. The only full-time employees, he said, were management and one full-time cook.
